ART / Life
Jamie Emerson was born in 1991 to a family of artists. At age 19 he moved to New York City and attended classes at the Art Students League of NY where he learned to employ elements of drawing, painting, sculpture, video and performance. His artwork draws from life and the enduring human practice of creation.
In 2015 Jamie created a large-scale public sculpture for the Riverside Park South in Manhattan. Other significant projects include a public mural in Mexico City, exhibitions of work from Standing Rock, ND, Art Dept and Puppetry for Pinc Louds, and street performance. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn.
