Trash Forest

June 2021
Grace Exhibition Space Manhattan

Kim Doan Quoc and Jamie Emerson spent the month of June at Grace Exhibition Space as artists in residency. They collaborated to build an immersive environment out of garbage in order to represent the native flora biodiversity of the New York City area, as a vegetal inspired post-nature capsule. The installation features sculpture made entirely of real NYC trash, holographic projections and actual plants. The installation is supported by the Forest Embassy who provided the NYC area biodiversity.
